Data centers are the backbone of the digital world - but they are also real energy guzzlers. A significant proportion of energy consumption goes into cooling the servers. This is exactly where DIGGERS and ROYOS come in: together we are developing a new, sustainable heat sink production that takes energy-efficient data centers to a new level. DIGGERS and ROYOS got to know each other during the Rockets crowdinvestment campaign. It quickly became clear that their expertise complemented each other perfectly.

DIGGERS contributes its experience in sustainable cooling solutions for servers, while ROYOS opens up new paths in material processing with its patented joining technology.

The centerpiece of our collaboration is the development of a new type of heat sink production that:

• Highly efficient cooling for powerful servers made possible
• Sustainable and efficient production by combining plastic and metal in a way that conserves resources
• A completely new type of cooling design is now possible, thus securing the lead in this rapidly growing market segment.

With its unique PSW technology, ROYOS brings a revolutionary joining solution to the project: Using a special process, plastics and metals can be permanently and energy-efficiently bonded together - without additional adhesives or energy-intensive processes. This enables a completely new design for heat sinks that is lighter, more efficient and more environmentally friendly.

This cooperation shows that Styria has nothing to hide when it comes to innovation and pioneering spirit! Together, DIGGERS and ROYOS are developing a solution that not only increases efficiency in data centers, but is also more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
