Diggers GmbH, founded in 2019 in Scheifling, Styria, is a pioneer in the field of sustainable and efficient data centers. The company develops and produces innovative, liquid-cooled server solutions that revolutionize the operation of data centers. Diggers combines cutting-edge technology with a clear focus on environmental friendliness and efficiency to meet the increasing demand for computing power with a minimal environmental footprint.
Diggers aims to fundamentally change the data center industry. With technology that saves up to 40% energy and makes full use of waste heat from servers, the company offers a sustainable alternative to conventional, energy-intensive data centers. The aim is to provide companies with an environmentally friendly, cost-efficient and secure IT infrastructure that is up to the challenges of the future.
The product: Diggers boxes
At the heart of the innovation are the Diggers boxes - compact, liquid-cooled server boxes that can be used flexibly and decentrally. The boxes work with an efficient liquid cooling system that reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 80%. At the same time, the technology enables almost complete recovery of waste heat, which can be used directly for heating or cooling processes. The IP67 protection class guarantees the highest safety standards and makes the boxes extremely resistant to external influences such as dust and water.

Diggers offers solutions in three core areas:
1. server hardware: High-performance servers for cloud applications, AI and graphics-intensive processes.
2. data center-as-a-service (DCaaS)Decentralized data center locations that can be rented flexibly.
3. infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS)Provision of computing power on a monthly basis.
Management team
DIGGERS is founded by Martin Schechtner, Michael Fussi and Robert Unterweger, who have extensive expertise in electrical engineering, cloud computing, process engineering and design.
Target group
The target group includes cloud service providers, commercial real estate operators, the public sector and companies from the industrial and telecommunications sectors. The market potential is enormous: the demand for sustainable IT solutions is growing and DIGGERS' technologies offer companies the opportunity to reduce their carbon footprint, cut operating costs and improve the energy balance of their buildings.
The first climate-friendly data center has already been successfully implemented, and a second expansion stage is already planned.
By the end of 2025, DIGGERS plans to expand into the DACH region and establish itself as a leading provider of decentralized, climate-positive data centers. Another focus is on scaling the business model towards data center-as-a-service and developing additional locations.
